MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to a new and exciting year at Parkway Elementary School.  The 2009—2010 school year holds much excitement for the learning and growth of all of our students.  We will continue to strive for academic excellence as we work with you in developing a partnership built on trust and cooperation.

Please pay particular attention to the process to be followed in the case of an emergency.  Procedures have been set up as part of the VBCPS Safe School Plan and the new emergency communication system “AlertNow” will phone up to five numbers that you have on file in case of emergencies or hazardous weather conditions.

We seek your active participation and encourage you to become a member of our PTA.  Our PTA president, Mrs. Richie Hutton and other members of the PTA can be reached here at school and membership is only $5.00 per family.  Children respond positively when parents or guardians are actively engaged in school life.
