Parkway's Plan for Continuous Improvement


Schools in the City of Virginia Beach prepare a comprehensive Plan for Continuous Improvement that is regularly reviewed and updated. Summative portions of the plan for Parkway Elementary are available online.

Parental Involvement Policy:

Parkway Elementary School and staff in partnership with parents and families will promote strong parent involvement both at home and at school. This objective will be accomplished through the following efforts:

• Implement the parent involvement policy (click here)
• Involve parents in the planning, review and improvement of the policy at least annually by inviting them to take part in developing the Plan for Continuous Improvement
• Host an annual meeting during Open House in August to inform parents of their school’s participation in Title I and its requirements
• Make the policy available to the community at our annual Title I meeting in late September or early October and online through the school website as well as in the school office.
